Patrick Mizumoto is a visual artist living in Honolulu, Hawai’i. Influenced by a life lived by the ocean and his own personal experiences as a half Japanese half Italian queer man. His multidisciplinary pieces explore expressing themes of self-identity and the complex energy surrounding emotional compartmentalization. Themes of emotional resonance, invasive and native plant life, and personal connections to lineage are focused throughout his work.

His early education revolved around Atelier style teachings at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art (LAAFA) and continued with years of self studying. His work has been exhibited across the USA notably in Hawai’i at the Bishop Museum, Capitol Modern (Hawai’i State Art Museum) and the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
